TOPIC: Windows 8 Textured Quad

Windows 8 Textured Quad 1 year 10 months ago #1197

Has anyone got any guidance on how/if I can render a 2D textured quad in c# windows metro style application. I need to be able to set the position and uv of each of the quads four points and apply a texture to that quad.
Any pointers in the right direction would be appreciated.

The easiest way would probably be to use the toolkit's SpriteBatch or GraphicsDevice.DrawQuad.

If you need more flexibility, you will have to set up a suitable shader, create the vertices and draw them yourself. In this case, the MiniTri and MiniCube samples are a good place to start.

Thanks. I'll take a look into the toolkit stuff and see if I can find enough examples to get me going
